Oki Enhances its Live Remote Lecture System by Strengthening Functions for Two-way Communications

Oki Electric unveils its new version of the broadband-based live remote lecture system, LiveOnAir Series. The new LiveOnAir Enterprise V2.0 is a high-end model of LiveOnAir Enterprise with enhanced functions for two-way communications.

LiveOnAir Series is a packaged software that delivers MPEG-4 based live videos as well as lecture documents without a delay, using the video delivery server OKI MediaServer as the engine. Compared to the former series, LiveOnAir Enterprise V2.0 improved the two-way communication functions such as whiteboard function linked with PDP (Plasma Display Panel) handwriting system and 3D computer graphic animation software. It also improved communication tools for the participants such as show of hands, anonymous indications, free questioning, and chat for better communications between the lecturer and the participants.

Sales of this new product starts from January 5, 2005 to the Japanese market.
