The C5000 is able to print 12 colour pages per minute (ppm) while all comparative products from competitors only manage 4ppm. Why is this so?
Essentially it is due to Single Pass Technology. The C5000 is OKI Printing Solutions fourth generation of single pass colour printers and benefits immensely from our heritage and technological leadership in this area.
Its technology is based on the higher value C7000 and C9000 Series printers and as such OKI Printing Solutions is unique in having a single pass printer in this product class. Competitors such as the LJ2500 and Epson C900 are still based on old fashioned 4 pass systems that require the page to pass over the print head four times, despite their manufacturers moving to Single Pass Technology on their higher value machines.
