Colour Swatch

03/08/2006

OKI Printing Solutions Colour Swatch utility is used to emulate a specific printed colour. Businesses will benefit from precision colour printing particularly when printing corporate colours, such as those used for company logos.

What is Colour Swatch?

This utility has been designed to ensure that users can specify what colours they are using within their documents, by selecting a swatch colour from a palette. These values are measured using the RGB model. See Fig 1.0.

How does Colour Swatch work?

Once installed, the Colour Swatch utility works to ensure that a specific colour is printed. In order to maximise the primary function of this utility, you should have a printed colour swatch palette, which shows the RGB values for each colour. These values are then individually chosen for use in whichever application you may be working in.

The easy to follow guidelines ensure that you will be able to take advantage of this feature immediately. It works with GDI, PCL and PS drivers. (Mac OS9 not Mac OSX).

Where can I find the Colour Swatch Utility?

Go to the 'Print' dialogue box, and click on 'Properties'. Select the 'Color' tab and click upon the Color Swatch button. Using your printed Colour Swatch palette - input the RGB values.
